Disability Discrimination Act(DDA) was passed in 1995. This legislation does not cater to education related discrimination. Though, staff employed at educational institutes comes under the remit of Discrimination act, provision and access of education for the disabled learners was not covered under the act. As a result of it, thousands of disabled students were not allowed in the educational institute and discriminated and excluded.

This issue has been noticed by the authorities and addressed via the SENDA(Special Educational Needs Disability Act) of 2001, which allows disabled learners to join the mainstream education. This marks the start of new changes in terms of recognition of discrimination against the disabled as unlawful and not acceptable.

From August 2002, the teachers and others who are involved in providing education in schools and other high education institutes are required to ensure that disabled students are treated equally as normal students in every aspect of education. Also, they should ensure that disability are not treated less favourably in any way and they must make steps to ensure that disabled students do not have any disadvantage of any kind against the normal students. The teachers are required to address all such circumstances
Apart from the above measures, educational institutes should provision to improve the accessibility of environment, information and courses for disabled learners. Providers of education must regularly monitor the practices, procedures and policies to ensure compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act

A person’s career should provide job contentment and happiness. Medical profession is highly satisfying and rewarding as it directly impacts the lives of the people. The altruistic care and support provided by medical professional to not only the patient but also the family of the patient is indeed commendable. However, there has been stereotype image associated with the doctors, nurses for many years. They are associated with white medical uniforms giving them an feeling of seriousness and inflexibility to the whole surroundings and staff of a hospital. Advances in medical sciences as well as changes to nursing scrubs and uniforms has lead to changes in stereotyped images in the modern time

Medical scrubs and uniforms are available in a variety of colors and styles in the market. Now getting the right size and design to provide perfect ease and style is quite easy for the medical professional. Stores have a sufficient stock of medical uniforms, tall and large sizes in nurse scrubs, wide range of pants and jackets.

You need to keep the type of job in mind while selecting a suitably designed medical scrub. As for example, if you have duty in the children ward, you could choose your uniform in bright colors with designs chosen from cartoon characters. This would show that you are amicable and friendly to the children who are admitted in that ward.

Foods and Vitamins to Beautify Your Skin

Vitamins are important in keeping your skin looking and feeling healthy. They can also help prevent and treat any problem areas and skin disorders. Several nutrients like vitamin E, vitamin C and selenium might prevent skin damage due to exposure to the sun’s UV rays. Vitamin A and beta-carotene may also help protect against skin cancer. These supplements may also help in wound healing. Vitamin E is recommended for use topically to treat burns.

Vitamins and Minerals

Here are some of the best minerals and vitamins for healthy skin. Including these skin rejuvenating vitamins in your diet will help keep your skin looking healthy and free from problems.

VITAMIN A

Vitamin A is a very good vitamin for healthy skin. It helps strengthen the skin and repair tissues. It can be taken in foods, as a supplement or as a topical cream. Vitamin A can help prevent dry skin and acne. It can also be used to treat wrinkles.

VITAMIN E

Vitamin E is an antioxidant that can help prevent free radical damage to the skin. Vitamin E is a good vitamin to take when your skin is suffering some damage from the sun or other factors.

VITAMIN C

Vitamin C helps with healing wounds and other damage to the skin. There is some evidence to suggest it may rejuvenate the skin. Vitamin C will also help the immune system fight off illnesses.

VITAMIN D

Vitamin D is an antioxidant that may play a role in skin pigmentation.

VITAMIN B

Vitamin B helps keep your skin tone healthy. It is also a good vitamin for relieving stress, and so it may prevent some of the skin problems (like eczema) that can be caused by stress. There are a number of different vitamins in the vitamin B group.

Vitamin B1 is an antioxidant that helps rid the body of toxins. It can also assist circulation.

Vitamin B2 helps keep the skin healthy. It can also help prevent acne.

Vitamin B3 improves circulation.

Vitamin B5 helps reduce stress.

Vitamin B6 helps keep the immune system healthy.

Fordyces Condition is a common skin disorder which is characterized by tiny yellow dots. It mostly occurring in groups and sometimes it is found on the lips, inside mouth, and rarely on the genital skin. They are sometimes confused with basal cell carcinoma. It generally does not interfere in love making as they are painless. The spots are a form of ectopic sebaceous gland, and are not known to be associated with any illness and are of cosmetic concern only. They are non-infectious and a totally natural occurrence on the body. They are present in 80-95% of adults. They are probably present at birth but become bigger and more visible from about puberty onwards. They may occur as a solitary lesion or more frequently in crops of about 50-100.

Causes of Fordyce’s Condition

The cause of this illness is unknown. These problems tend to run in families; in another word we can say that it is a generic reason. A decrease in circulating androgen results in a change in the rate sebocytes migrate from their points of differentiation into the sebaceous unit may be a cause. It is not caused by viruses and is not contagious. The papules are present at birth but only become prevalent when the child reaches puberty.

Fordyce Disorder Symptoms

Fordyce Condition is a variant of Sebaceous Hyperplasia. The sign of fordyce Disease is characterized by dry, darkened patches of skin in the underarm, pubic, and nipple areas of the body, with raised patches of dried out blisters. It is also found that tiny yellow dots are found in groups and also sometimes in the sheets on the lips, inside the mouth, and sometimes it is also found in the genital skin. The disease can cause loss or breakage of hair follicles in these areas. The disorder almost solely affects women after puberty and around the time of menstruation.

What are the Treatment options for Fordyce’s Condition

Since Fordyce’s Condition is harmless and appears in most adults, there is no reason to panic. The treatment is necessary when they are ugly and cause real embarrassment. It should not interfere with lovemaking because they are painless. Young boys sometimes panic and think they have done something wrong, but a visit to the doctor sets them at ease. If the lesions are becoming unsightly and you really feel something needs to be done, a powerful, expensive drug named Accutane will reverse sebaceous hyperplasia, but you will develop new lesions after you stop the medication unless you also use tretinoin cream regularly.
