Grovers Disease

Grover's disease is a condition that appears suddenly as itchy red spots on the trunk, most often in older men. Once confirmed, most cases of Grover's disease last six to twelve months. The relationship between this condition and transient acantholytic dermatosis (Grover's disease), emphasizing sex-related presentations, is discussed. The most important thing about Grovers disease treatment is to remain cool, as further sweating will induce more itchy spots. A mild topical steroid such as hydrocortisone in a cool lotion can be applied frequently to the affected areas and result in relief. Sometimes, Grover's disease can be complicated by the development of dermatitis. The cause of Grover's is unknown But it also may arise in quite dry skin. Many affected individuals are sun damaged.
