Tinea CrurisTinea Cruris is a type of fungal skin and infection of the groin. Tinea cruris is a fungal infection and some kinds of fungus germs (fungi) are usually present on human skin. Tinea cruris is an infection of the groin caused by a fungus.it is a fungal infection of the groin more common in men and women. They usually do not harm. Tinea cruris is thrice more common in men than in women. Tinea cruris has a worldwide allocation but is found more ordinarily in hot humid climates. Adults are affected much more commonly than are children. Tinea Cruris is a contagious infection forwarded by fomites, such as contaminated towels or hotel bedroom sheets, or by autoinoculation from a reservoir on the hands or feet (tinea manuum, tinea pedis, tinea unguium). The etiologic carriers forms keratinases, which allow invasion of the cornified cell layer of the epidermis. Host immune reaction may prevent deeper invasion.
